COVID-19 UPDATES
LATEST UPDATE (05/15/2020) -
It's with great sadness we must announce that due to so much uncertainty with COVID-19, the JOMO Pride Inc Board made the hard decision to cancel our 2020 Downtown Diversity JOMO Pride Pageant, originally slated for June 27th at the Wilders Event Center in Joplin.
We didn't arrive at this decision lightly and wish things would have went differently this year, but the health and safety of our community and organization is paramount.
We'd like to take this time to honor, Shayna Towers, Miss JOMO Pride 2019. Shayna has reigned with dignity, grace and upheld the values of our community and JOMO Pride Inc. Shayna has accepted an extension of her reign until our 2021 Downtown Diversity JOMO Pride Pageant next June at the request of the Board of Directors. Shayna will continue to act on behalf and represent JOMO Pride Inc and Joplin's LGBTQ+ Community until her official step down and crowning of our new Miss & Mr. JOMO Pride 2021.
