Call to Order

Approval of Board Minutes - Dec 4th - no objections
Approval of Board Agenda - Jan 18th - no objections

Guest Speaker - Leigh Baker - Access Family Care -
Discusses ACCESS's new HIV Screening & Prevention program. demonstrated Oraquick At-home Screening test kit and Sure Check fingestick check, gave out bags with further information. Talked about their Pharmacy program offering low cost meds, passed around info for those interested in joining a community driven advisory board. CDC has targeted MO and other high risk areas with high STD rates. Grants were given out to provide money through DHSS to provide testing and additional services, Access took part in this process and was awarded a 3 year grant to help expand education, public testing and prevention.

• Discussions of Mobile testing/medical Unit - Ron motions, with no objections, for early approval to have ACCESS at Pride with mobile testing and waive vendor fees - no objections
  
• Looking for ways to expand access to testing and education to the public; Mobile unit at Pride, Community driven advisory board, Testing info and handouts during Pride events and other LGBTQ events in the area, meeting with JOMOEQ as well.

Co-Chair - Thea Austin contract signed, IV King Contract signed, booked stage and sound for Pride, submitted road closure for street fest, but not Parade - waiting on recommended street closure start time from public works

Treasurer - Balance: 11,321.97, check for Thea Austin Wrote for ., , IRS login on website fixed, maintenance on site - waiting to file 990. Received all bank statements to start on spreadsheet to file state use tax exemption - assistance needed on sheet.

Vendor - Vendor applications now open
Volunteer - Will reach out to see where members want to volunteer during upcoming event.

Entertainment - Entertainers lined up and approved for Feb 11th.

      3. 1. Held Self Care Canvasses event with over 30 community members present, will send event dates and pages to put them on Pride socials, Expresses to have Pride members more involved and attending JOMOEQ events, Feb 21st next EQ meeting
            
         2. Open JOMOEQ positions - Treasurer and Historian.
            
         3. Board consensus to have JOMOEQ present with a table and info at all pride events that JOMOEQ is available to help with outreach.
            
         4. Board - instruct bank to open a secondary checking account under Pride for JOMOEQ Committee. Treasurer of JOMO Pride Inc - Lydia, and Treasurer of JOMOEQ Committee to head account - no objections to proceed
            
         5. 1. JOMOEQ to elect new Treasurer to be added as secondary on sub account.

8. 1. Went over updates performed. All updates completed except with our log in for current site to blog pages/minutes/jomoeq/pridefest - Patrick trying to resolve issues.. Applications for Parade, Sponsorships and vendors are complete are ready on site to promote.

Ideas- Whitney offered space for Zumba at 24hr fitness, Yard Sale/Rummage sale in a lot of possibly Unity or Book house, Sports of some sort but might require insurance or additional coverages, Empire market to host event?, Fashion Show, Bowling night, Joplin Improv Group joint fundraiser or fundraiser with C2C? Pride night at a restaurant and give % of sales to Pride?, Splash Bash at local pool?, Film Festival/movies in park?,

       2. Photo booth - Loni and board decide not to use previous photo booth pieces due to size and weight. Kevin (Ent Dir) to reach out to Chalea o see if she would like to help.
          
       3. Donation items still needed, about 15 gathered for silent auction so far
          
       4. Volunteers - johnny will reach out in chat to solidify before event
