1. Reports of Officers and Committees
A. Co-Chairs – $635 check, met with Jarrett about food vendors, assisting with donations, press release for April 2nd fundraiser made, updated and posted contract on website, contacted news for write ups, made a new Insta & Twitter. 100 followers on Insta, 20ish on Twitter.

2. Unfinished Business
A. 2021 Fundraisers
  • Drag Bingo Fundraiser - APRIL 2nd - Blackthorn - 6pm
  • Performers?
  • Payment to Chase/performers
  • All members share event page on fb leading up to the event and day of please.
  • Volunteers needed
    • Door - (1) Temperature checker, (1) Cash handler, (1) bingo card/dauber distributor, (1) general volunteer
    • Silent Auction - (2) Card readers/cash handler, (1) general volunteer
    • Bingo callers (2)
    • Who is volunteering? Volunteers to check in with co-chairs at least 30 minutes prior to event. 9 volunteers max including board.
    • Setup 3pm - Ron to work on setup & transport of tables/chairs/silent auction items, Ashley to assist with chairs
    • Volunteers to assist with breakdown
    • Additional white folding tables needed - Ron will get
    • Please assist with getting together final silent auction/bingo prizes

Pride Pageant Fundraiser - Wilders Event Center - Date: June 26th
  • Setup June 25th - time TBA
  • Payment to Marsha/Wilders pending
  • Matching crowns need ordered
  • Sashes need ordered - include JOMO Pride Grand Marshal sash for MGA (2 title holders - 1 Grand Marshal
  • Begin time June 26th - 4pm
  • Performer discussion - Who is special entertainment other than Rising Star and Shayna Towers?
  • Judges - who?
  • Pageant Budget/Funds discussion - sitting at 1,300 before special entertainment is booked. Discuss raising door fee to offset some overhead. All other fundraisers are $10. This is a bigger, longer and more costly event.
  • Titleholders Contract is updated and posted on the pageant page of our site
  • Darkside of Disney - Backdrop foam board scene - Shayna, Should the banner just be a themed banner each year to help with decor? Or should we use a reusable JOMO pride Pageant banner each year?

Marketing - IMMEDIATE NEEDS - contact BOOM, Camp KC, GAYLY (email) by telephone to get procedure for ad sets & invoice, new pridefest logo, new jomo pride logo - THEN - Banner for pageant, full flyer for Pride & event page graphic with new logo (flyer must be approved by both MGA/CVB), Banner for Pride (Bodegas), new JOMO pride banner, hand fans, flyers, A frame signs, Tshirts
(Once pride logo/event graphic is up marketing $ to be spent on targeted promotions per JCVB grant June through August.)

F. Discuss Turnabout Drag Show Fundraiser - July 24th - 930pm

G. Carey/Treasurer - File 990 for 2020, Check state use tax exemption, get new IRS non profit certification letter reflecting new address. Call Towneplace Suites by Marriott and give Shannon our CC info to put on file, pay Minnie Hackney $200, pay Chase & entertainers for April 2nd fundraiser

H. BAM to perform instead of Diversity. $600 payment - Grant needs reworked to reflect this change. Need to hold out until all other changes to pride are solidified.

I. Resources page - make post. Compile statewide lgbtq non profits and add to list. Mental and physical health resources need compiled.

J. website - Ron to get with Patrick to finish vendor/sponsor log in area with check in/rules processes etc, replicate how pageant page works on the JOMO PrideFest event tab to easily input and change information as needed, Eventually will need to have another application for vendors to apply for both days. Right now they can only apply for the festival instead of specifying day 1 or 2. We are reaching out individually to get vendors to apply x2 if they want to booth at day 2.
